We got some gooooood news!!!!! 
There are NO NEW SPOTS and they see a slight reduction in the tumors that are there. Woo Hoo – Thank You God for answering our prayers. We feel this is the best news we could have received. The chemo is working at killing the cells and ensuring no new cancer appears and is effective with the tumors already there. Tim’s Doctor doesn’t want to lose momentum so is asking Tim to do 4 more rounds of chemo – every 3 weeks vs. every 2 weeks. Our next Chemo infusion is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27th. Tim is tolerating it so well, gaining weight, continuing to work every day and enjoying life – so this is the right decision.
Once we complete the last 4 rounds, we will scan again and hope to see nothing new and even further reduction. If we get another good scan at that time, Tim will be able to take a break. In the meantime, it is my mission to find as many Immunotherapy Trials as I can that will accept Tim in to their program; it is difficult as Appendix Cancer is so rare there are no trials targeted at that specifically at this time. There are trials that are accepting various types of rare cancers or possibly even general gastrointestinal cancers. I’m aware of a couple already, but will be putting all of my energy in to this the next couple of weeks. Hoping to get some appointments scheduled before school starts. Doesn’t matter how near or far they are – we’re going wherever we have to.
