The Restart of Chemo…

The Restart of ChemoThis so sucks…We are sitting in our Pod at the Cancer Center and there are sick people everywhere.  Everywhere you look, sickness… I hate it!  Are we ready for the Chemotherapy road again?  Are the girls ready?  I don’t know if I am…  is Tim ready?  7 more rounds and we will be done.  Be thankful for your health… look in the mirror at yourself and the beautiful gift that God has gven you… your physical being, your beautiful body.  Take care of it.  Feed it with all of the good stuff, stay hydrated… be healthy.  If you’ve always wanted to… Get Healthy… stop finding reasons and excuses not to… because I PROMISE you… if you find yourself in a “situation” you will, I promise you will, look back and say “why didn’t I”… and you will regret it.  Not to say that being healthy saves you from a situation like we’re in, because we know that it isn’t the casue of this, but I beg of you, to please do all that you can to make sure you’re here with those you love, as long as you can be.  In addition to making yourself a priority, LOVE… LOVE, LOVE, LOVE… with everything you do and everything you are… be passionate… find what makes you tick.  Love those babies of yours… love up on them and in to them so deeply… they grow up too fast… and they are our future.  They are what will carry us on through this world.  Pay attention to the very little things with your children… those are the things they really want.  It is not the big trips/vacations, it is not the things you buy them that they will always remember, it is not about what designer clothes they wear… it is the way that you love them that they will always remember… LOVE people.  Just love, with everything you have and hold your Husband/Wife’s hand… just hold it… let your fingers move around and rub the skin while you do that… just feel the warmth of your hands together.  Hug them, hold them tight, feel how safe it is and how great is is to feel that physical sense of love, that confirmation that they are there with you, as one.  Don’t let go for a long time – take a few deep breaths… and then whisper to them, so its only for the two of you to share, exactly how you feel about them.  Make sure they ALWAYS know…

XOXO, Denise
